U.S. scientists have created a way for the deployment of radio frequency circuits with identification on paper, which they say is faster, cheaper and offers more uses than current methods.
The technique can be used to prevent fraud and provide a new meaning to 'paper trail'.
The process uses a laser transfer paper and mounted in circles.
Such intelligent paper can be used for notes, legal documents and tickets, the team said.
Findings will be presented at the conference of Electrical and Electronic Institute in Orlando, Florida.
The process was created by a team at the University of North Dakota and is known as the Advanced Packaging Powered by Laser (Leap).
